Our History

Welcome to Beconta

Where heritage is honored and design is intentional. From first chair to city streets, every piece blends performance, polish, and story.

Beconta was founded in the 1930s by Walter Blascoe, a German immigrant, entrepreneur, and original tastemaker whose vision helped shape American ski culture. At a time when skiing was still finding its footing in the U.S., Beconta introduced pioneering European brands—such as Nordica, Look Bindings, Volkl Skis, and Puma—to an emerging American market, redefining both performance and style on the mountain.

Beyond distribution, Beconta became known for its own apparel—most notably the B Line, one of the earliest women’s ski collections to merge European tailoring with bold, fashion-forward design. It wasn’t just gear; it was a statement. Skiing was a lifestyle, and what you wore mattered.

Decades later, that spirit calls again.

Today, Beconta is reawakened by Walter’s great-grandchildren, honoring the legacy not by replicating the past, but by reinterpreting it. Each piece is thoughtfully designed with modern performance, elevated materials, and a distinctly feminine point of view—crafted for women who move confidently between worlds.

This is ski fashion rooted in authenticity.
This is heritage, refined for now.
